How Predictive Assessments Helped a Private Equity-backed Healthcare Company Reduce Risk

BACKGROUND

A private equity-backed healthcare company faced high turnover and disengaged teams following a series of costly mis-hires. Two key senior leaders exited within 9 months of joining, while their teams struggled to deliver on financial expectations amid the swirl. The leadership team needed a scalable way to mitigate future hiring risk and rebuild confidence internally and at the board level.

SOLUTION

At the Core Coaching implemented Hogan Personality Assessments and pulse feedback surveys for a selection of current employees. The assessments identified behavioral strengths, potential risks and value alignments that led to deeper discussions or coaching for individual employees. We then defined the company’s “good fit” behavioral traits and values for success in each of the critical roles.

Finally, we incorporated Hogan assessments into the hiring process for all critical leadership roles. At the Core led candidate debriefs to gain context, provided the hiring team with detailed interpretations of results, and generated more effective questions for the hiring teams to ask in the final interview stage.

RESULTS

Over the course of one year, the company dramatically improved key metrics like turnover, employee engagement and hiring confidence.
